NNWGA Team Retains Silver Cup with WIN in South

GREAT JOB LADIES!!!  

The NNWGA team played wonderfully in the first day’s Foursomes Matches taking an early lead of 7 to 3.  They continued their good play the second day during the Four-Ball Matches and took 6.5 of the 10 points, giving them a total for two days of 13.5 to 6.5.  Needing only 7 points out of 20 matches to capture the cup, the third day’s Singles Matches seemed to be easily within reach.  However, the Southern team played ferociously through a cold drizzle to have the outcome rest on the final two matches left on the course.  NNWGA earned the victory with a 7 to 13 finish for that day and a total overall score of 20.5 to 19.5.  This is the first ever win for our team in the South.  NNWGA had never won the cup two year’s in a row.
